Tonkawa Processing, Corp receives CARES Act grant dollars

TONKAWA, OK – Brian Lane and wife, Theresa “Boogie” (McAninch) purchased Tonkawa Meat from Betty Bradford and Patsy and Rusty Glenn on May 13, 2020, renaming it Tonkawa Processing, Corp. In late July, Governor Kevin Stitt appropriated $10 million in federal funds from the CARES Act to the Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Food and Forestry with the goal of expanding meat processing capacity and addressing supply chain disruptions across the state as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency.

25 years later and I still haven’t caught them all

Today (February 27) marks the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon game series, a big milestone for any franchise and one that makes people my age feel so much older than we really are. While a vast majority of my generation were into Pokemon when it first hit, I was an especially easy mark for it as I already had an interest in dinosaurs, Godzilla and all varieties of monsters before I even knew what a Pokemon was.
